WHOBA Basketball 2025
In December we held our annual West House Old Boys basketball match. With the weather holding up, we were able to play outside on the all-weather courts. Under the expert guidance of Mark Denham, the players were split into four teams, each captained by:
Blue – Gordon Gittins (2013)
Green – James Horn (2017)
Plain – Neil Sharma (1990)
Red – Mansoor Bangash (1989)
With the help of Richard Smith (2004), a series of exciting matches unfolded, filled with slick passing, competitive spirit, and plenty of laughs.
The final showdown saw Green take on Blue for the title of Old Boys Champions – with Green securing an impressive 11-0 victory and remaining unbeaten throughout the day! Meanwhile, Red and Plain faced off in a friendly match that ended in a thrilling 8-8 draw.
The annual basketball event continues to be a highlight – full of enthusiasm, skill, and a few wild shots! A huge thank you to everyone who participated and made the morning such a success.
