Academic achievement
As pupils journey through the school, we increasingly focus on preparing them for life in secondary school and the extra responsibility and independence that will be required of them. Academic results in selective exams at 11 Plus are outstanding with over 70% of our boys typically taking up places at King Edward’s School, Birmingham and the Birmingham’s Consortium Grammar Schools, such as Camp Hill and Five Ways.
Each year a number of our boys receive scholarships to their chosen secondary school, and in 2021/22 four boys received scholarships to King Edward’s School, Birmingham including a highly coveted double scholarship for academic achievement and music – much to their parents’ delight!
