Michael W  Bird (1955)

Michael Bird reports that , ” as we live in Wiltshire, I have not visited the school since I left in 1955 so I expect so much has changed that I doubt I would recognise anything. I have fond memories of ‘Playground Hockey’ and also archery with the Carey-Field

I am now 82 and have two children and three grandchildren. I~ have recently retired after working for 63 years and am finding the transition quite difficult. I have been a governor of our local primary school for several years. I spent the vast majority of my career in The Stationery Industry mainly for working for Manufacturing companies such as  Helix, Bic ,Staedtler and Tipp-Ex. I was Sales and Marketing director of several.

I was privileged to be awarded  ‘Outstanding Achievement’ award by the Trade body in 2012 at a dinner at the Motorcycle Museum.
