A Warm Welcome Back: West House Old Boys’ Annual Summer Luncheon 2025
Sunshine, stories, and a spectacular school lunch – the annual West House Old Boys’ Summer Luncheon once again proved to be a much-loved highlight in the calendar.
This year’s event saw a fantastic turnout, with Old Boys spanning several generations returning to the school grounds to reconnect, reminisce, and see how West House continues to thrive. As ever, the afternoon began with a guided tour of the school, where guests were able to revisit familiar corridors and classrooms, and see the latest additions and improvements to the site. A visit to the old boarding house remains a firm favourite, with many pausing to share memories and stories from their time living under its roof.
The tour was followed by one of Sue’s legendary lunches – a magnificent spread that delighted all who attended. The dining hall buzzed with conversation and laughter as guests tucked into a selection of traditional favourites and seasonal treats, all prepared with Sue’s trademark flair and attention to detail.
Importantly, there is no cost to attend the luncheon – it’s our way of saying thank you and keeping the West House spirit alive. Each year, we’re thrilled to welcome back familiar faces and are always especially pleased to see “new Old Boys” joining us for the first time.
The afternoon concluded with a concert performed by current pupils – a tradition that continues to impress year after year. With a programme showcasing a wide range of musical talent, from classical solos to contemporary ensembles, the performance left a lasting impression and reminded everyone of the vibrant creativity that continues to flourish at West House.
We are always delighted to welcome our Old Boys back to school and thank everyone who attended for helping to make the day so special. We look forward to seeing even more of you next year!
