This Sporting Life
The amount of sports that our boys take part in is something that we are extremely proud of. West House has always been committed to offering our pupils a huge range of sporting activities. Whilst we no longer offer shooting (yikes) or archery, we strive to give boys the opportunity to keep physically activity even if they are not naturally inclined to the more traditional school sports of cricket and rugby.
This term we have introduced specialist dance lessons in association with Elmhurst Ballet School and tennis lessons via Edgbaston Priory Club, which have proved very popular with the boys.
The summer term is particularly “sporty” and the end of term particularly so. The various house competitions ensure maximum participation and gives boys a chance to discover new sports such as the javelin and the long jump.
Children from Pre-School to Year 6 have taken part and our selection of photos below offer a snapshot of some of these activities.
