West House v Norfolk House
A brilliant week of matches against Norfolk House. The boys have written their own match reports that we think really catch the spirit of these sporting fixtures. The boys not only wrote their own reports but also read them out in assembly.
West House A-team defeated Norfolk House School with a 14 goal masterclass, Ali-Aoun grabbing 8, Zack with 2 and an own goal. Thomas scored the best goal of the game from outside of the box and Arjun also scored one. Well done to Kyan, as he got his first A-team goal. The man of the match was Eisa with 11 assists and he dominated the midfield. Everyone played well and did their part.
West House A Team Year 6
The referee's whistle signalled the start of the match and West House kicked off. We started to pressure Norfolk House, as we passed and already we were playing very well. We kept pressuring them until we broke through their defence and Omar gave a nice pass into Romin, which Romin stopped, kept his composure and placed the ball through the goalkeeper's legs and already we were 1-0 up. They kicked off and we won possession back straight away and with some teamwork we managed to get a 2nd goal, boosting up our moods, and ready to get a 3rd soon. We went on to score again and Arunveer scored a screamer from a corner, which was a memorable goal for him. This goal may have given us good luck because most of our team went on to score only bangers from then on out. By the end of the match, nearly everyone scored as we won 19-0. We shook hands with Norfolk House and all the team were cheerful to get this win. This was going to be a moment in history for the B team and this was our best win ever, so far.
West House Year 6 B Team
Last week, the Under 9 B Team played against Norfolk House School. At the start of the game, around 5 minutes in, Sebby scored a fantastic goal to make it 1-0. He scored again shortly after. Zohaib made a brilliant pass to Ibrahim, who dribbled the ball and skilled the opposition and scored. Hooray! 3 goals for us. Teddy had been quiet so far but made a great slave after a Norfolk House attack. Teddy then passed it to Ibrahim who skilled everybody, who passed it to Zohaib who skilled the goalkeeper and scored an amazing goal! After the Norfolk House kick off, Sebby was quick to react and tackled the opposition. He dribbled his way through the defence and managed to score again! Another hattrick for Seb. The goals continued to flow and we started to play as a team. We changed positions but everyone did a great job. Sahil, Sarim, Eddie and Leonardo were solid in defence and Yifan scored at the end after a goal line scramble to finish the game 13-0! Well done West House.
West House Under 9 B Team
Richmond Hill erupts as families and players celebrate the A team's triumph. It was a cold, damp, wet afternoon at Richmond Hill, yet West House boys out on a splendid dynamic show for parents to watch. This was the first time West House U9 faced Norfolk House. The opening goal arrived from Tamu a few minutes after kick off followed by Leo, Saran, Indy which gave a half time score of 6-0 but the Lions from West House were hunger for more. The second half brought another six amazing goals. Excellent dribbling and assists from Harold and Uche with goals from Mika and Aron. The ball stayed in Norfolk's half for the majority of the match. West House has a few more chances however a gallant commendable performance from Norfolk House goalkeeper without keeper gloves kept the ball out of the net. Overall, top goals and top skillful performances from the whole West House U9 team. Next match will be against Birchfield.
