West House School vs Wolverhampton Grammar School (Under 9s)

It was a warm, windy day at Richmond Hill Playing Fields. The Year 4 A and B teams were playing.

Defence was strong, with Mika running around and making great tackles. The team was talking a lot and calling out the names of the players when they were in space and wanted the ball.

The scoring got going when Leonardo scored a screamer!

1-0 to West House!

More goals came thanks to Zohaib and then Indy was brought down in the box and got a penalty. He scored an amazing Panenka penalty against the Wolverhampton goalie. He scored another soon after this one and was on a hattrick! At the start of the second half. Seb scored a half volley from just inside the box. This made it 5-0!

Wolverhampton were fighting hard to score a goal – Teddy was keeping them all out.  They managed to squeeze one past him during the second half.  5-1. It was too close to fulltime to make a difference and the game was well and truly over when Seb popped up and scored another goal, taking the final score to 6-1.

West House celebrated but …..three cheers were given for Wolverhampton, we shook hands and wished them a safe bus ride back to school. Good game, Wolverhampton! The B Team can’t wait for their next match.
