And We’re Off!
We are delighted to welcome our boys and their families back to West House as we begin a brand-new academic year.
After a wonderful summer, the school is once again ready to come alive, and there is plenty to look forward to over the coming weeks and months. From sport and swimming to new clubs, exciting learning opportunities, it promises to be a busy and enjoyable year.
There are already plenty of activities to look forward to, including Early Bird Cricket, Chess Club and the popular SunRise 11 Plus sessions.
Swimming continues to be an important part of life at West House, with lessons taking place at the University of Birmingham during the first and second halves of term.
One of the most exciting additions to the West House curriculum this year is Creative and Active Learning (CAL) for boys in Years 3–6.
Taking place on Friday afternoons, CAL will provide boys with the opportunity to explore a rich and varied programme of activities that sit beyond the everyday curriculum. Specialist staff will help deliver the sessions, giving our boys the chance to try new things, develop different skills and perhaps discover some new passions along the way.
We cannot wait to see the boys back through the doors on Thursday 3rd September, when they will be welcomed back to school from 7.30am.
After a busy and exciting summer, it is fantastic to have the new school year upon us. We look forward to seeing the boys back at West House, catching up with friends, meeting new faces and getting stuck into another year of learning, friendship, sport and adventure!
