West House School Celebrates Prize Giving 2026
On Thursday 25th June, the West House School community gathered at the magnificent Ruddock Hall at King Edward’s School for our annual Prize Giving ceremony. Despite the soaring summer temperatures, the atmosphere was one of celebration, pride and reflection as pupils, families and staff came together to mark another successful academic year.
Mr Lyttle opened the evening with an inspiring address, reflecting on the many achievements of our pupils and thanking the entire West House community for their continued support throughout the year.
We were delighted to welcome our special guest, Mrs Nina Hobson, Head Teacher of our partner school, EHS, whose presence highlighted the strong and valued relationship between our two schools.
One of the highlights of the evening was a thoughtful and confident speech from our Head Boy, Yifan Chen, who reflected on his time at West House with warmth, humour and gratitude, leaving a lasting impression on everyone in attendance.
The presentation of prizes recognised excellence across academic subjects, sport, music, the arts and service to the school. It was wonderful to celebrate the hard work, determination and character shown by so many of our pupils throughout the year.
Congratulations to all of our prize winners and to every pupil who has contributed to making this another memorable year at West House School. We wish our Year 6 leavers every success as they embark on the next stage of their educational journey and thank everyone who helped make such a special evening possible.
