Reception Dream Jars – A Magical End to a Wonderful Year
As our Reception children prepare to spread their wings and fly into Year 1, we’ve been capturing their final Reception wishes in a truly magical way – by creating dream jars.
This lovely activity has formed part of our transition discussions, giving children a chance to reflect on their Reception journey and think about something special they’d love to do before the year ends. From imaginative adventures to simple joys, each dream is unique, heartfelt, and very them.
Here are just a few of the charming ideas the children have come up with:
-
“I wish to have another Spa Day”
-
“I wish to make a book”
-
“I wish to read a book I have made to my friends”
-
“I wish to make a milkshake”
-
“I wish to make hot chocolate”
-
“I wish to have a party”
Our Reception team is doing everything they can to make as many of these special wishes come true. It’s a joyful way to celebrate all the growth, creativity, and kindness we’ve seen throughout the year and to give the children one last sparkle of Reception magic before they move on.
We can’t wait to see these dreams take flight!
