Mystery Story Writing with Year 6

Nothing sparks the imagination quite like a good mystery story, and Year 6 had the perfect opportunity to put their storytelling skills to the test! The challenge? To craft their own thrilling mystery tales and share them in the ultimate storytelling setting—around a roaring fire with toasted marshmallows.

Unfortunately, the weather had other plans, but we weren’t about to let a little rain dampen our creativity. With determination and a touch of ingenuity, we set up a virtual campfire in our classroom. Crackling fire sound effect created a cosy atmosphere.

As each student shared their mystery story, we were transported into worlds filled with hidden clues, suspicious characters, and unexpected twists.The stories showcased incredible imagination, suspenseful storytelling, and a real flair for the dramatic.

. Year 6 proved that no mystery is too big to solve and no storytelling challenge too tricky to tackle.
