Inspiring Young Writers with Tola Okogwu

This week, our boys had the fantastic opportunity to meet acclaimed author Tola Okogwu, who shared her creative process and expert storytelling tips. During the session, the boys worked together to develop a superhero origin story, with Ronny and Aryan’s imaginative ideas—stretchy legs and a rock-climbing centre—making it into the final plan.

A particularly exciting moment came when the boys discovered that Tola’s favourite book is The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe—coincidentally, their current class read! This connection sparked enthusiasm and deepened their appreciation for storytelling.

Inspired by Tola’s Onyeka and the Academy of the Sun, the boys will be reading more of the book in the coming weeks and putting their creativity to the test by crafting their very own superhero stories. We can’t wait to see the incredible characters and adventures they create
