Bake a Difference! Year 6 Fundraise for Children’s Mental Health Week
This week marks Children’s Mental Health Week 2025, an initiative launched by @_place2be to shine a light on the importance of emotional well-being in young people. This year’s theme, ‘Know Yourself, Grow Yourself,’ encourages children to understand their emotions, build resilience, and embrace personal growth.
At West House School, our Year 6 pupils took this message to heart and channeled their enthusiasm into —a charity bake sale! With an abundance of energy and a keen entrepreneurial spirit, the boys set up a cake stall in the school grounds.
The boys worked together to set up their stalls, proudly displaying the delicious treats they had baked at home. From gooey brownies to savoury pastries, there was something for everyone. As break time approached, eager customers—staff and pupils alike—flocked to the stalls to sample the wares.
In just under 30 minutes, they managed to raise an incredible £230—an amazing achievement that highlights not only their hard work but also the generosity of the West House community.
Well done to Year 6 for their fantastic efforts in raising awareness and funds for such an important cause.
