We Are Family: Staff Profiles

At West House School and Nursery, our community is built on strong connections, shared values, and a warm, family-friendly atmosphere. In our We Are Family series, we’re proud to introduce the incredible staff who make our school such a special place. From their passion for education to the personal touches they bring to our community, each profile highlights the people at the heart of West House. Welcome to our family!

I teach Year 1.  My PCGE specialism was in teaching children aged 3-7 (so preschool to year 2. I love the freedom and flexibility to teach what the boys love in a way we love.  We can follow the boys’ interests and explore new ideas without feeling we need to tick a box.  Fun is our top priority, which leads to engagement and progress!

Prior to being a teacher, I worked in retail at Majestic Wine.  Working with the general public and in sales gave me a good foundation in responding effectively to the unpredictable!

My previous employment means I have a passion for wine.  I used to be a cheerleader at University and I still love to dance!

My favourite books are  Stick Man by Julia Donaldson.  My Family and other Animals by Gerald Durrell.
