Enriching Poetry

We’re very proud of the boys and their enrichment work. This week Bobby (Year 4) has really excelled with his poetry.

A crisp and chilly autumn walk by Bobby Thompson

A crisp and chilly autumn walk
What can we see?
A squirrel, a bird, a dragonfly?
Leaves falling from the tree?
The landscape full of colour
Leaves of burnt orange, red and yellow.
A little Robin looking for a worm,
I smile and hello.
I puff and pretend that I’m a dragon
as I see my breath float by.
My gaze goes up above me
And I see the birds flying south in the sky.
I kick the leaves they fly and weave
I watch with pure delight
They flutter on the wind as they go a great height
My crisp and chilly autumn walk
Is coming to an end
The sunset full of colours
Next time I’ll bring a friend.
