Fire Safety

We were delighted to welcome real life fire men to WHS to speak to Year 4 boys about the importance of fire safety. The fire service regularly visit schools as part of their outreach work on the proviso that if there is an emergency call out, they will have to leave quickly!

This proved to be the case and their presentation was delivered in record time as the firemen had to rush off to attend a fire.

The boys were on their best behaviour and asked lots of questions. It was particularly shocking to hear and see how quickly fires can spread.
