The story of a June visit to a Safari Park

Once upon a June day, there were two Year 2 forms who went on a special trip to a safari park. The boys were very excited and could hardly contain themselves! The big day arrived, and everyone gathered for the coach tour. The coach was long and spacious, with comfortable seats and big windows to see out of. They set out, and soon enough, they came across a tower of giraffes, a pride of white lions, and a caravan of camels!

The driver then stopped to let everyone see an elephant and the children were in awe at the sight of this majestic animal. The elephant gracefully walked around, trumpeting, and swaying its long trunk.

After the coach tour, the classes split into groups. Some went on roller coasters and other rides, while others saw even more animals. The boys were having a great time, but no one expected the exciting moment to come!

Whilst in the lemur enclosure, a lemur jumped onto the teacher’s shoulders! Everyone was amazed, as they watched it curiously looking around. The children couldn’t believe how brave their teacher was!

Towards the end of the day, the class went to the shop, where everybody spent lots of money on souvenirs and treats to take home.

As the sun began to set, the coach arrived to take everyone back to school. Everyone was tired but happy. As they rode back, the class discussed their favourite parts of the trip.

When they arrived back at school, the children were all excited to tell their parents about the amazing day they had at the safari park.

Overall, this was a day the children would never forget, and the boys were left with treasured memories of the animals and experiences they encountered while exploring West Midlands Safari Park.
