Year 1 Risking It For A Biscuit

Year 1 spent an afternoon engineering creations for a troubled fairy tale character.

The boys were reading the classic tale of the gingerbread boy who tries to outwit a wily fox. After enjoying the story, the boys set about designing and constructing rafts that could help the gingerbread boy.

The rafts needed to float and be waterproof.

The boys were then given real gingerbread biscuits and were challenged to “risk their biscuit” and try and float it on their raft, on water.

Did anyone take up the challenge? Not many! Biscuits are too precious apparently.
