Al Fresco Maths for Year 1

Year 1 took advantage of the sunshine this week and ventured outside for their maths lesson. They made a natural number line using nature items found around the school, such as leaves, twigs, pine cones and very prickly sweet chestnut shells! The boys practiced their “more than” and “less than” vocabulary to place the digits in order. They then hunted down the right amount of natural objects to represent each number.
