Early Years celebrate Rosh Hashanah

Mrs Littlestone held a special Rosh Hashanah assembly this week for the younger members of the school. She explained to the children that it is the start of the Jewish new year, when Jewish people reflect on the past and look forward to the next year. The children were able to try on a tallit (prayer shawl) and a yarmulke (headwear) and eat some apples and honey, which represent a sweet new year. This was their favourite bit!
