Enterprising Entrepreneurs

This year’s Enterprise Initiative was a real success with boys raising £1000 for charity. They all worked really hard over a period of several weeks on their business projects at a time when they also had many other sporting and creative arts commitments.

Head of Performing Arts, Rachel Green has been running this Year 6 initiative for several years now. She explains:- “The enterprise project is an annual project that the school has been running for several years. In the past we have raised money for local charities such as The Birmingham Women and Children’s Hospital alongside many local Acorn Hospices. Every Year as part of the year 6 P.S.H.E curriculum the older boys enjoy working in teams and creating their own business and creative ideas which they showcase to the rest of the school in assembly. Following on from this, they make and sell their products to the rest of the school community. Much fun is had with the boys selling tasty treats and using their innovation to create interactive games at play- time. This is a fun way to raise money for local charities and creates a real buzz around the school. Much fun is had by all!
