Relationships and Sex Education Policy

This policy explains how West House School teaches Relationships and Sex Education (RSE) in line with national guidance. It aims to help pupils develop respect, self-esteem, and responsibility while preparing them for growing up, friendships, family life, and staying safe. The curriculum is age-appropriate, involves parents, may use outside specialists, and includes the right for parents to withdraw children from sex education but not from relationships or health education.
