Fire Prevention Policy
The Fire Risk (Prevention) Policy at West House School ensures compliance with the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005 by managing fire risks across all departments, maintaining thorough records, and implementing regular assessments, training, and drills. The Bursar, Headmaster, Grounds and Maintenance Team, and Fire Marshalls share responsibilities for maintaining equipment, carrying out risk assessments, leading evacuations, and ensuring staff and pupils are familiar with emergency procedures. The overarching aim is to protect employees, pupils, visitors, and contractors by preventing fire hazards, ensuring safe evacuation routes, and maintaining effective systems of detection, alarms, and fire-fighting equipment.
