Hello Yellow 2025

On Friday 10th October, a blanket of yellow enveloped the whole school as we joined together to raise awareness on World Mental Health Day 2025. Students and staff wore yellow to raise awareness and funds for YoungMinds which supports the mental health of children and young people across the UK.

To raise awareness, we had a high energy assembly kicked off by the wonderful Ms Green and her extremely talented team of actors. We had a terrible dad jokes challenge led by the Year 6 boys; perfect poetry from Year 3 before one of the funniest roleplay performances involving Jude J and Shiv M!

To close the assembly, the team of dancing minions entered the Big School Hall to the Bee Gees classic, “You Should be Dancing” and even Gru was dancing in front of the boys. “When I say Hello, you say Yellow… HELLO…. YELLOW” echoed around the hall with everyone showing their appreciation for how important mental health is in the world. In total, West House raised an impressive £380 for YoungMinds so we thank all the staff, parents and pupils who donated as part of Hello Yellow Day!
