Christmas Elf Visits Forest School

This term, our Year 4 boys have truly embraced the spirit of Forest School, and their dedication hasn’t gone unnoticed!

This week, the boys were treated to a special surprise from a very unexpected visitor in the woods, who left them some thoughtful goodies as a reward for their enthusiasm and commitment. The treats were a recognition of how wholeheartedly they’ve engaged in every Forest School session, from learning to identifying plants and animals to working together in team-building challenges.

The weather hasn’t been a barrier to their adventure in the great outdoors. Whether it’s been sunny or rainy, the boys have shown an impressive attitude, and they’ve made sure to come prepared—dressed in their outdoor gear and ready to take on whatever the elements bring.

It’s been wonderful to see the boys grow more comfortable with outdoor learning each week, developing resilience, teamwork, and problem-solving skills as they explore the natural world around them. The sense of adventure is alive and well at West House School, and we can’t wait to see what the rest of the year holds for our Forest School explorers!
