The Wind in the Willows

The Wind in the Willows

During the first half of term the whole school enjoyed a visit from the Image Musical Theatre who presented their version of Kenneth Grahame’s classic ‘The Wind in the Willows’. The story follows the adventures of the river bank friends, Ratty, Mole and Badger and their encounters with the outrageous Mr Toad of Toad Hall.

As ever, clever scenery and lightning quick costume changes meant that the cast of just three actors and assorted ‘guest stars’ from among West House’s budding thespians, kept the performance lively and fun. Notable moments included Theodore Bell’s whinnying horse and the battle for Toad Hall against various sized weasels. The whole audience contributed to the show with some wonderful singing.

Mohamad Farooq commented “I really enjoyed the performance and look forward to Image Musical Theatre’s next visit when they will perform ‘Stig of the Dump’”.

"Pupils are receiving an education which goes well beyond the academic curriculum and successfully prepares them for their senior schools"
