Outstanding Success for 'Millenium Babies'

West House School’s ‘Millennium Babies’ have triumphed in a year of unprecedented competition.
Some 20 offers have been made to Year 6 leavers by two of Birmingham’s leading independent schools - King Edward’s School, Edgbaston and Solihull School - and a further 11 boys have accepted places at Birmingham’s grammar schools.
Akil Khalid heads the Roll of Honour with a scholarship to King Edward’s School. With a number of academic scholarships offered at other local independent schools and Oscar Lyttle gaining a music scholarship to Old Swinford Hospital, the school has continued its record of outstanding achievement.
Headmaster Alistair Lyttle said: “We are delighted with this year’s results, which reflect the hard work and dedication of both our staff and pupils, in a year that has seen more candidates than ever before competing for places.
“We would also like to congratulate Sarna Sharma who won a Bronze Medal in the national Mathematics Association Challenge which received over 100,000 entries.”
"Pupils are receiving an education which goes well beyond the academic curriculum and successfully prepares them for their senior schools"
