While the necessity to arrange for lessons to be covered is a part of running any school, there are not many that can call upon international cricketers to help out with games lessons!

With Mr. Denham and Mr. Sajjad masterminding the Year 6 cricket team’s successful run in this year’s Lord’s Taverner’s Cup, New Zealand opening bowler, Ian Butler, kindly agreed to provide coaching for Year 3 and 4 boys.

Ian, who played 8 test matches and 25 one day internationals for his country, was happy to pass on a few coaching tips to the boys, before the inevitable procession of autograph hunters arrived!
