Mothering Tide Service

Mothering Tide Service

On Thursday 11th March the Senior Choir took centre stage at the Mothering Tide Service, held in Birmingham Cathedral. Pupils form Reception to Year 6 contributed to a memorable occasion in front of a packed congregation largely made up of proud and emotional mums.

While Reception boys displayed pictures of their mothers and announced to all why they loved them so much, Year 2 read short poems describing how their mums looked after them so well. The Senior Choir, including eight Cathedral Choristers, treated parents to everything from the 'Magnificat' to Yazoo's 'Only You'. However, the tear-jerking moment came with a performance of Emily Crocker's 'Hear the Wind' and a fine solo from Josh Ray (Year 6).

The distribution of tulips followed with all boys, including the Headmaster, presenting their mums with a bunch of flowers and a 'thank you' kiss!

"Pupils are receiving an education which goes well beyond the academic curriculum and successfully prepares them for their senior schools"
