'Down To Earth' With The Kinetic Theatre

On Wednesday 3rd February, the school welcomed back The Kinetic Theatre for Science with their latest offering, ‘Down To Earth’. Boys in Reception to Year 6 were treated to an entertaining insight into the science of gravity, eclipses and shadows. As ever, the show was a truly interactive experience, with two actors successfully appearing in at least four different guises.
The plot saw two alien ducks – The Mallards – attempting to steal water from the planet Earth with the help of the Dalek-like 'Ducktivator'. Unfortunately, an eclipse put a stop to the attempt as the Ducktivator simply shut down in the absence of sufficient light and heat.
The show was met with unanimous approval and summed up by Akil Khalid (Year 5) who commented, 'Once again, a marvellous performance from the Kinetic Theatre!'
"Pupils are receiving an education which goes well beyond the academic curriculum and successfully prepares them for their senior schools"
