*recognise that people live in different sorts of homes
*identify key external features of homes
*describe and draw different features of a home
*recognise the rooms in  a home from long ago
*show some understanding of home life long ago
*Use language related to the past and home life

Most learners will be able to:
*recognise and name different types of homes
*describe the features of a home built a long time ago
*describe using appropriate vocabulary features, furniture and household objects from homes from long ago
*talk about home life from long ago
*become familiar with key features in a room from long ago

Some learners will be able to:
* use a varied vocabulary to describe homes.
*identify  some differences between two homes built at different times
*use characteristics to describe objects from long ago

Week 1/2
Look at different homes-big book.  Draw and write about their favourite type of home.  Go on a walk looking at different types of homes.  Draw and discuss.

Week 3/4
Use the big book to look at homes from the past.  Talk about differences.  Write about differences between old and new houses.  Look at and focus on washing in the past.  Follow up written and picture work.

Week 5/6
Look at a kitchen from the past.  Follow up written and picture work. Draw the inside of a Victorian house.

Week 7/8/9/10/11
Watch the video 'Lisa Looks Back'. Write and record what happens to Lisa. (Looking back to how Lisa’s nanny and grandad used to live). One episode per week.

Week 12
Make a class book –what have we found out about homes in the past?

Week 13
Assessment.
