Week 1/2 Look at different homes-big book. Draw and write about their favourite type of home. Go on a walk looking at different types of homes. Draw and discuss. Week 3/4 Use the big book to look at homes from the past. Talk about differences. Write about differences between old and new houses. Look at and focus on washing in the past. Follow up written and picture work. Week 5/6 Look at a kitchen from the past. Follow up written and picture work. Draw the inside of a Victorian house. Week 7/8/9/10/11 Watch the video 'Lisa Looks Back'. Write and record what happens to Lisa. (Looking back to how Lisa’s nanny and grandad used to live). One episode per week. Week 12 Make a class book –what have we found out about homes in the past? Week 13 Assessment. |
