*Sequence major holidays on a time-line
*use appropriate related vocabulary
*make detailed drawings of objects from seaside holidays in the past

*ask questions about holidays in the past
*select an important point about holidays and explain why it is important

Week 1
Discussion about what holidays are and when we have them. Make a simple time-line for holidays we have.  Discuss the reasons why we have holidays. Video

Week2
Look at pictures or photos of seaside holidays today.  What sort of holiday is it?  Has anyone been to the seaside?  Where did you go?  What did you do?  Locate on a map places learners have visited.
 
Week 3
Look at pictures of holidays in the past.  Draw and write about what holidays used be like in the past.

Week 4
Look at holidays from different years.  Sequence them.

Week 5/6
Have an elderly visitor into School to talk about their holidays.  Write and draw about the discussion with the visitor

Week 7
Look at photos and pictures of holidays now and then.  Write down similarities and differences.

Week 8
Make a seaside role play area.

Week 9
Draw pictures and write about souvenirs from holidays now and then.

Week 10
Make a seaside book.
