West House Nursery endeavours to form effective and meaningful partnerships with parents from the outset to ensure that each child learns successfully at this vital stage of development.
The process is initiated before children join the Nursery with parents being invited to bring their children to at least one ‘taster’ session, during which children can play and parents can observe and ask questions of the staff.
After children have started at West House Nursery, the partnership is developed further through daily contact. Staff are available at the start and end of each day on an informal basis and parents are encouraged to collect children from the classroom.
Two formal Parents’ Evenings are held during the year and written reports are forwarded on three occasions – at the end of each school term.
